DEPE - Présentation

With initial training in Agronomy and Bioclimatology, Jean-Louis Drouet is a research director at INRAE. He divides his time between the ECOSYS unit in Grignon and the DEPE in Paris. He first worked in remote sensing for the implementation of early warnings, in the case of the Landes forest, then for the Sahel region. Then, for ten years, he devoted himself to the analysis of the functioning of plants and annual crops in relation to their biophysical environment. Over the past fifteen years, his work has focused on nitrogen fluxes in landscapes and territories and the modelling of their environmental impacts, particularly in the context of several national and European projects (including the coordination of the ANR Escapade project from 2013 to 2017). Since 2018, he has been co-chair of the scientific and technical committee for the management of nutrients and emissions to the environment, set up by the Ministries in charge of Agriculture and Environment. He joined the DEPE in 2020, in this project team, he is in charge of the agronomic aspects of foresight.
