DEPE - Presentation

Chantal Le Mouël is an economist, research director at INRAE and divides her time between the SMART-LERECO unit in Rennes and the DEPE in Paris. She worked at the General Planning Commission (1995-97) and was an administrator at the OECD, within the Directorate of Agriculture (2000-2001).  She first focused her research on international agricultural trade and WTO negotiations, then became interested in farmers' production decisions in relation to CAP reforms. More recently, it has focused on issues of global food security and land-use change. She coordinated the Agrimonde-Terra foresight, funded by INRAE and CIRAD (with M. de Lattre-Gasquet and O. Mora, 2012-2017), during which she contributed to the development of the GlobAgri tool. In this project team, she is in charge of the quantitative part of foresight: development of the GlobAgri tool and simulation of scenarios.
